Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substations expertise. Responsibilities include defining projects, managing budgets, ensuring profitability, and coordinating with internal and client teams.

Responsibilities cover scheduling, change management, client invoicing, risk monitoring, and mentoring junior staff. Travel is up to 10%. Bachelor’s degree and 13+ years' experience with PMP/CCM/DBIA certification required within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with project management methodologies, budgets, schedules, and control processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and client interactions.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare statements of work and work breakdown structures.
• Manage project costs and profitability.
• Prepare client billings and monitor payments to vendors and subs.
• Monitor project status and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage changes using formal change management processes.
• Coordinate and communicate deadlines and assignments to teams.
• Develop overall project schedules and in-house budgets by group.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders and review deliverables.
• Mentor junior project managers and coordinate submittals to agencies.
