Job summary

The Perry Group, Ltd., a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substations expertise to lead complex energy projects in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities include defining scope, schedules, budgets, managing costs for profitability, and coordinating with stakeholders, submittals, and change control. A PMP/CCM/DBIA within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Thirteen (13) or more years of relevant work experience.
• PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list)

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with work breakdown structures (budgets) and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and is responsible for ensuring profitability.
• Creates and reviews timely client billings and ensures timely client payment; reviews expenses and payables to subcontractors/vendors.
• Monitors project status and risks; escalates as needed.
• Manages change using change management protocols.
• Clearly communicates deadlines and responsibilities to team members.
• Prepares overall project schedule/timeline and budgets by group responsibility.
• Facilitates meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinates submittals to local/state/federal agencies.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
