Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC seeks a Procurement Manager, Substation Equipment to drive strategic purchasing and project management for data center OFE across multiple substation projects. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, PM and construction teams to ensure timely delivery from forecasting to turnover.

The role requires 25%+ travel, strong negotiation and budgeting skills, and experience with electrical equipment and substation construction. Hybrid work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical equipment and substation construction preferred.
• Knowledge of data center battery storage and primary power generation market is a plus.
• Experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commercial skills: negotiation, planning/forecasting, budgeting, reporting.
• Willingness to travel 25%+; some international travel may be required.
• Advanced computer skills: Excel, Procore/Helix, databases, finance systems, scheduling programs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management and organization.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Attention to detail and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic purchasing, planning, and project management for OFE in data center substation projects.
• Lead collaboration among engineering, procurement, PM, and construction teams.
• Oversee OFE from forecasting through delivery, installation, commissioning and turnover.
• Build and manage strategic vendor relationships and purchasing plans.
• Present purchasing strategy to senior leadership and funding requests.
• Track production/delivery schedules, submittals, FATs, and vendor service scope.
• Support vendor relationships to align with project and program needs.
• Assist in project budget management and controls.
• Set up and track costs, schedules, and documentation history.
• Handle RFPs, change orders, POs, and invoice reconciliation.
