Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager (EM) in its Power Delivery practice in Tampa, FL. The EM will lead the technical execution of high voltage substation projects, mentor engineers, and coordinate with the Project Manager to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of management and substation design experience, PE license, and strong leadership and communication skills. Some travel may be required as projects span multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 10+ years of management experience.
• Substation design experience (indoor/outdoor) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical team and execution of project deliverables.
• Develop project execution plan for technical aspects.
• Mentor Project Engineers/EITs/CADD-Designers.
• Head quality checks per HDR QMS for deliverables.
• Coordinate multiple projects across locations.
