Job summary

HDR is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager (EM) to lead technical teams in high voltage substation projects within HDR's Power Delivery practice. You will partner with the PM to ensure successful execution, delivering plans, schedules, budgets, and quality deliverables across multiple sites.

The role requires a PE license (preferred) and 8+ years of design experience with up to 500kV projects, with strong proficiency in IEEE/ANSI standards and engineering software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of management experience.
• Substation design experience, indoor and outdoor, required.
• PE license preferred; strong knowledge of IEEE/ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical team and execution of substation projects.
• Develop project execution plans for technical aspects and coordinate tasks.
• Mentor engineers and CAD designers; perform quality checks per HDR QMS.
• Manage multiple projects and travel between locations as needed.
