Ameren Illinois is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to substation maintenance personnel, focusing on outages, testing, commissioning and asset health. The role involves contributing to reliability strategies and data integration to aid decision-making.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with 2+ years utility experience; PE license is preferred and proficiency in Access/Excel is desirable. This is a full-time position located in Illinois.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer License or active commitment to obtain one preferred.
• Two or more years of utility experience with substation equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers) preferred.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, communication and human-relations skills.
• Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Access and Excel preferred.

Mansioni

• Respond to substation outages to assist restoration as necessary.
• Coordinate testing program to assure PM tasks are completed as required by internal and external requirements.
• Provide support to substation maintenance personnel for commissioning and checkout of new substation equipment.
• Prepare minor design changes as needed to restore equipment to service.
• Prepare failure reports on substation equipment.
• Analyze equipment condition, health, and performance to identify asset issues, trends, and opportunities to improve maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Support integration of monitoring-device data into asset performance management tools.
