Ameren Illinois seeks a Supervising Engineer to lead substation design and power system protection efforts. You will manage projects, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to NERC standards while coordinating with vendors and regulators.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in the field, and a track record in designing reliable, cost-effective substations. This full-time position is based in Illinois with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualificações

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or to be obtained within one year.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership; develop design criteria and standards for safe, reliable, and cost-effective substation designs.
• Ensure conformance to codes, regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet schedules and costs.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies; represent Ameren.
• Provide expert testimony as required.
• Ensure NERC compliance; participate in audits and industry committees.
• Stay abreast of state-of-the-art developments and mentor engineers.
• Provide after-hours operations support as needed.
• Build and lead high-performing teams with engagement and accountability.
