Job summary

WSP USA is offering a Full-Time Electrical Engineering Substation Intern position in Billings, MT as part of the Summer Internship Program. The 12-week internship starts May 17, 2027, with flexible start date.

You will work with the Power and Energy Team, supporting engineering tasks, field work, design calculations, and cost estimates while learning basics of electrical engineering and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and ability to communicate with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
