Actalent is seeking a Substation Construction Manager to oversee a large, multiyear substation project across TX, LA, and AR. You will manage subcontractor crews, drive production, quality, safety, and schedule adherence while aligning with contracts and project standards.

The role focuses on field leadership, interpretation of construction docs, and effective risk and change management across commissioning phases, with a strong safety culture and regular progress reporting.

Qualifikationen

• Substation construction mgmt experience.
• Experience leading distribution construction projects in a power delivery environment.
• Ability to interpret construction documents, drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on construction management including scheduling, QC and safety.
• Experience in construction and commissioning phases.
• Strong reporting and communication with project teams and stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all phases of substation construction and commissioning for a large, multiyear project.
• Lead subcontractor crews of up to ~25 people on site.
• Drive subcontractor performance to meet production, quality, safety, and schedule targets.
• Ensure all activities comply with contracts, standards, and specs.
• Maintain safety culture and enforce safety requirements on site.
• Monitor quality control and quality assurance for all work.
• Review construction documents to guide field execution and resolve issues.
• Oversee change management processes and communicate changes.
• Support risk management by identifying construction risks and mitigations.
• Prepare and deliver standardized construction reports with progress updates.
• Conduct regular construction meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain clear communication with project team throughout construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with project management to align field activities with project plans.
• Support integration of power delivery and transmission elements as required.
