Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc., a MasTec company, seeks a Substation Superintendent to supervise day-to-day substation activities and lead the project team. The role reports to the Project Manager and spans from Groundman to Leadman, coordinating with multiple disciplines on site.

You will manage schedules, safety, quality, and communications, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budgets while guiding staff through complex field tasks.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook and internal operational systems.
• Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges.
• Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructability issues and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules.
• Must be able to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
• Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project and assume responsibility.
• Obtain and maintain a valid State Class A driver’s license and/or hold and maintain a valid commercial driver’s License.
• OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute the project plan to schedule and ensure compliance with budged.
• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
• Track and communicate weekly project report and generates 3 weeks look ahead.
• Ensure project materials and workmanship meets the project quality standards and design requirements.
• Initiate and conduct project meetings with staff assigned to the project and management if necessary.
• Review and address plan details, resolve issues before they result in added budget expenditures.
• Advise Superintendent of any potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts.
• Enforce site specific plans and procedures that are in line with EEI’s culture and safety requirements.
• Review and submit weekly time sheets to payroll for processing.
• Maintain the project’s daily job diary.
