Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Substation Superintendent to serve as a Construction Coordinator for projects based in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The role will involve planning and coordinating construction activities to meet schedule and budget constraints while maintaining safety and quality on site. Essential duties include pre-construction planning, site inspections, managing RFIs, coordinating materials and deliveries, and compiling Daily Log Reports.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ Years Relevant Construction / Maintenance Experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Similar preferred.
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management Preferred.
• Familiar with construction prints/drawings (structural, mechanical, or electrical).
• OSHA 10 hour and MEA specific training is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
• Organized, self-motivated, detail oriented.
• Willing to travel; travel and lodging reimbursed.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight on site and report safety issues.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, reviews, and constructability checks.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with specs, drawings, and permits; resolve RFIs.
• Identify field material needs; order materials and coordinate deliveries.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports to track progress and safety.
• Maintain redline drawings and perform weekly safety audits.
