Job summary

Orbital is seeking a Substation Superintendent/Construction Coordinator for projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. Exempt position with per diem and company truck provided. The role focuses on planning, safety oversight, and coordination to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include pre-construction reviews, on-site inspections, RFIs, material planning, and daily logs. Travel to multiple sites is required; job offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Similar preferred.
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management Preferred.
• May have a background in structural, mechanical, or electrical construction/engineering but must be familiar with construction prints/drawings.
• OSHA 10 hour and MEA specific training is beneficial.
• Must be willing to travel; travel and lodging costs are reimbursable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight to ensure compliance with safety procedures at the site.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, drawing reviews and constructability reviews.
• Inspect work during construction to ensure compliance with specs, drawings and permits; coordinate RFIs with client and engineering.
• Identify field-purchased material needs, order materials and coordinate deliveries; track shortages.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports to outline progress, deficiencies and safety incidents.
• Maintain redline drawings, perform weekly safety audits, communicate scope changes and verify utility locates; sign crew timesheets.
