Job summary

Orbital is seeking an Electrical Construction Coordinator for substation & distribution line projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. The role involves safety oversight, pre-construction planning, site inspections, material coordination, and daily log reporting on designated projects.

Projects are assigned based on location and experience; travel to various sites is expected with reimbursement for travel and lodging. This is an on-site or hybrid position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Similar preferred.
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management preferred.
• Familiar with construction prints/drawings; OSHA 10 hour and MEA training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight to ensure compliance with safety procedures on site and report incidents.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, reviews, and constructability checks; ensure permits and site plans are in place.
• Inspect construction work during execution to ensure compliance with specs, drawings, and permits; resolve RFIs with project team.
• Identify field-purchased material needs; order materials and coordinate deliveries; track shortages.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports to outline progress, deficiencies, and safety incidents.
• Maintain redline drawings, conduct weekly safety audits, communicate scope changes, and sign crew timesheets.
• Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
