Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Substation Foreman serving as a Construction Coordinator for projects in Eastern Pennsylvania. You will plan and coordinate construction activities to meet schedule and budget goals while ensuring safety and quality on site.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and planning skills, with travel and site visits to multiple construction locations. Per diem and a company truck are provided to support field work.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ Years Relevant Construction / Maintenance Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Similar preferred
• Experience in Commercial / Industrial T&D or Experience in Management Preferred
• Familiar with construction prints/drawings
• OSHA 10 hour and MEA specific training is beneficial
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
• Organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented
• Willing to travel; Travel and lodging costs are reimbursable
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to frequent construction sites

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight to ensure compliance with safety procedures at site and report safety issues.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, drawing reviews, and constructability reviews; inspect site and ensure permits and plans are in place.
• During construction, inspect work to ensure compliance and coordinate RFIs with client and engineering.
• Identify field-purchased material needs and coordinate deliveries; order materials and equipment.
• Prepare Daily Log Reports tracking progress, deficiencies, safety incidents, and adherence to specs.
• Perform miscellaneous duties like updating redline drawings, conducting safety audits, and coordinating scope changes.
• Occasionally climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
