Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Designer - Substation to support design for critical substations. You will produce and maintain 2D/3D drawings, leveraging CAD tools and SDS to meet project standards.

The role requires a background in substation design, 4+ years in electric utilities, and strong collaboration with engineers and designers to deliver accurate, client-ready work.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting or equivalent; 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design.
• Experience with 3D/2D CAD in high‑voltage substation projects.
• Proficient with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SDS, and Inventor; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Support substation design projects across QISG platform.
• Prepare accurate 2D/3D drawings and maintain drawing packages.
• Follow design standards and quality controls; coordinate with engineers.
• Travel for project needs as required.
