Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Designer – Substation to support design projects across the platform. The role emphasizes 2D/3D Physical and/or Protection & Control design, CAD proficiency, and adherence to standards.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design for high voltage substations and familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, SDS, and SDS-based tools. Some travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design for high voltage substations.
• Experience with 3D and/or smart design software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, SDS) preferred.
• Ability to travel for project site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support substation design projects across the QISG platform.
• Utilize 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Ensure quality drawing packages for internal and client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers and drafting teams under lead designer.
• Maintain standards and document management practices.
• Travel for project sites as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
