The Planet Group is seeking a Designer – Substation to support substation design projects across the QISG platform. The role emphasizes accuracy, standards compliance, and CAD proficiency, with a focus on HV substation design.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in electric utility CAD/design for HV substations and familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, SDS, and related tools. Collaboration with engineers and drafting teams is essential across client-facing deliverables.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design preferred.
• A 4-year Eng Tech degree is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in electric utility CAD/design for HV substation projects.

Aufgaben

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize 3D and/or smart design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure workmanship standards.
• Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Travel out of town for short periods as required by projects.
