PacifiCorp is seeking dedicated apprentices to support substation construction, maintenance, and repair. Under supervision, you will work on substations, switchyards, and related equipment, performing electrical, mechanical, and civil tasks to overhaul, troubleshoot, and maintain apparatus.

Responsibilities include inspections, panel installations, troubleshooting with specialized equipment, reading schematics, welding, and operating heavy equipment.

Formación

• High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent.
• Proof of electrical theory training with a "B" or better grade through an accredited institution (AC/DC Essentials, Power and Motors, Industrial Controls) or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and overhaul all substation apparatus and related equipment at switchyards or power plants.
• Perform substation inspections and documentation for all equipment.
• Install control panels, metering equipment, conduit, and wiring; assist in protective relaying work.
• Test and troubleshoot apparatus using specialized equipment and instruments.
• Work from blueprints, manuals, schematics and manufacturer bulletins to install and maintain systems.
• Perform welding and operate shop equipment for repair or fabrication as needed.
• Maintain lighting, security, HVAC, and, when requested, emergency power units.
• Operate crane/bucket trucks and tow trailers used in plant/substation maintenance.
• Prepare reports and maintain records such as work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs.
