Job summary

WestCare Foundation in North Las Vegas seeks a Counselor for the RSAT: Pathways to Success program. You will deliver individual, group, and family counseling and complete required clinical documentation under supervision.

You will assess needs, implement treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care. This is a full-time, on-site role with potential for additional hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, or related field recognized by state of NV.
• Must pass background clearance as required by WestCare and regulatory bodies.
• Must be eligible for CADC-Intern certification and supervise under licensed counselor.
• Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and insurance stipulations for billable services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services and fidelity of evidenced-based workshops daily.
• Act as liaison with external agencies (law enforcement, courts, hospitals).
• Utilize psychotherapy to evaluate and treat substance use disorders.
• Conduct assessments and determine appropriate counseling modality.
• Complete clinical documentation (treatment plans, notes, reviews).
• Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and participate in discharge planning.
