Abraxas Youth and Family Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Counselor II to provide chemical dependency counseling to patients and families, designing and revising treatment plans, and delivering group and individual sessions.

This full-time role includes daily pay options, a $2,000 sign-on bonus (where eligible), and opportunities for professional growth within a mission-driven team focused on helping individuals achieve healthier, more independent lives.

Qualifications

• Current licensure - LSW, LPC or CADC.
• Two (2) years’ experience working with substance abuse.
• Two (2) years of counseling experience.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion.
• Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessment of each client.
• Initiate and sustain each individual’s motivation to participate in treatment.
• Develop a comprehensive service plan for each client.
• Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups.
