Abraxas Youth and Family Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Counselor II for part-time, regular professional duties. You will provide chemical dependency counseling to patients and families, conduct assessments, and contribute to treatment planning.

The role requires licensure (LSW, LPC or CADC), with at least two years of substance abuse and counseling experience. The position offers overtime opportunities and a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Current licensure - LSW, LPC or CADC.
• Two years’ experience working with Substance abuse preferred.
• Two years of counseling experience.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion.
• Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessment of each client.
• Initiate and sustain each individual’s motivation to participate in treatment.
• Develop a comprehensive service plan for each client.
• Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups.
