Abraxas Youth and Family Services - Southwood Interventions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Counselor I to provide chemical dependency counseling to patients and families, and to design, implement, and revise treatment plans with the treatment team.

We value compassion and reliability; IAODAPCA CADC or higher is required along with background checks and a valid driver’s license. This full-time role offers dailyPay options and growth within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifikationen

• IAODAPCA CADC certification or above; LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC acceptable.
• Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior.
• Ability to safely and effectively manage aggressive behavior.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Physical exam including TB and drug testing.
• Pass federal and state background checks.

Aufgaben

• Complete assessment of each client.
• Initiate and sustain each individual’s motivation to participate in treatment.
• Develop a comprehensive service plan for each client.
• Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups.
