Abraxas Youth and Family Services – Woodridge Interventions is seeking a part-time Counselor II in Woodridge, IL to provide chemical dependency counseling to patients and families. The role involves assessment, treatment planning, and delivering group and individual sessions with the treatment team.

Qualified candidates hold licensure (LSW/LPC/CADC) with 2+ years in substance abuse and counseling, ability to work independently, and strong judgment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure - LSW, LPC or CADC.
• Two (2) years’ experience working with Substance abuse, preferred.
• Two (2) years of counseling experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to exercise discretion and use independent judgment in making decisions.
• Ability to promote positive behavior and manage resistant behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide chemical dependency counseling services to patients and families.
• Develop and revise treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Offer group and individual counseling and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate care and support for clients and collaterals.
