Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Counselor I to provide chemical dependency counseling to patients and families, conducting assessments and implementing treatment plans. You will collaborate with supervisors and the treatment team to design and revise plans while offering supportive, client-centered care.

You will deliver group and individual counseling, coordinate care with the team, and participate in crisis intervention, aiming to help clients achieve independence

Qualifications

• IAODAPCA CADC, or above, or equivalent licensure/certification is required.
• Must be 21 years or older with a valid Driver's License.
• Background checks (federal/state) and pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to use computers and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessment of each client
• Initiate and sustain motivation to participate in treatment
• Develop a comprehensive service plan for each client
• Provide daily treatment and curriculum-based education groups
