Job summary

WestCare Foundation in Illinois is seeking a clinician to deliver substance use disorder treatment within a structured program. The role involves conducting assessments, leading education groups, and developing individualized service plans in collaboration with clients while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The position requires relevant licensure or CADC certification, 2 years of counseling experience, and the ability to work within a corrections-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience providing alcohol and substance abuse counseling services.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical substance abuse treatment to clients in the program.
• Initiate and sustain client motivation to participate in treatment using engagement techniques.
• Develop comprehensive service plans with client input and goals.
• Provide daily treatment and education groups on therapeutic concepts and relapse prevention.
• Assist clients in developing self-help groups (e.g., AA/NA).
• Maintain client treatment files and confidentiality per regulations.
• Submit weekly client data for WestCare database.
• Attend required staff training and cross-training.
• Collaborate with team to meet WestCare mission and goals.
