Job summary

WestCare Foundation, Inc. seeks a full-time clinician to deliver substance abuse programs at Sheridan Correctional Center. You will assess clients, motivate treatment participation, and develop service plans within the correctional setting.

Daily groups cover therapeutic communities, relapse prevention, and related topics while maintaining strict confidentiality and records management. Qualified candidates hold clinical CADC certification or equivalent, with licensure within two years, and

Qualifications

• Must have clinical certification as CADC or equivalent and meet licensure/recertification requirements
• Must complete 40 hours of continuing education biennially if CADC licensed
• Experience with offender populations and assessment tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess clients using required tools to determine needs
• Motivate participation in treatment using engagement techniques
• Develop comprehensive service plans with client input within facility constraints
• Lead daily treatment and curriculum-based groups on TC concepts and relapse prevention
• Assist clients in forming self-help groups (e.g., AA/NA)
• Maintain confidential client records per laws and agency policies
• Coordinate weekly data submission to WestCare database
• Attend required staff training and cross-training sessions
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to ethical standards
