Job summary

WestCare Foundation is seeking a qualified clinician to provide a range of substance abuse programs for clients. Responsibilities include completing client assessments, initiating and sustaining engagement in treatment, and developing service plans with input from clients within IDOC-imposed constraints.

The role involves delivering daily treatment and curriculum-based groups, facilitating self-help participation (AA/NA), and maintaining confidential documentation in line with agency policies.

Qualifications

• CADC certification as required by IAODAPCA, or plan to obtain within two years
• 40 hours of continuing education biennially if CADC licensed
• 150 hours of clinical supervision and 225 hours of training/education within two years, including 100 hours AODA, 6 ethics, 119 IC&RC domains
• Masters or bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Complete client assessments using required tools
• Motivate clients to engage in treatment via counseling and stages of change
• Develop comprehensive service plans with client input
• Provide daily treatment and education groups on TC concepts and relapse prevention
• Assist in forming self-help groups (e.g., AA/NA)
• Maintain confidential client records and ensure compliance with policies
• Document participation and quarterly/weekly data for the WestCare database
• Attend staff training and adhere to WestCare mission and confidentiality standards
