Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to supervise cost control, budgeting, and constructability for North America development and redevelopment projects. You will liaise with internal teams and external partners across multiple locations including Dallas, Chicago, and New York.

The role requires 5–7 years in data center preconstruction, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of building codes and scheduling governance. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5-7 years minimum experience in construction/preconstruction of data centers or similar facilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork within a discipline.
• Experience leading multi-country projects and meeting goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk management, process optimization, and schedule governance across construction operations.
• Implement digital solutions to streamline workflows and improve reporting.
• Lead cross-functional cost reviews and budget development for development projects.
• Establish budgets and evaluate cost/constructability implications of change requests.
• Maintain relationships with general contracting partners and monitor market trends.
