Job summary

Digital Realty seeks a Preconstruction Manager to oversee and optimize preconstruction for North American data center projects. You will liaise with internal and external partners, review budgets, and ensure constructability while tracking market trends across the portfolio.

Applicants should bring 7–10 years of progressive PM experience in design/construction, including multi-country projects. Strong Excel skills, leadership, and a proactive approach to process improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred; 7–10 years in design/construction.
• Experience managing multi-country projects and large developments.
• Proven PM expertise including digital tools, risk management, and optimization.
• Familiarity with schedule governance, collaborative planning, and workflow optimization.
• Experience in continuous process improvement and KPI management.
• Strong understanding of change/gating in owner-operator dev orgs.

Responsibilities

• Review standards for cost savings and constructability updates.
• Review project drawings for content, pricing, and constructability.
• Lead cost review meetings with internal stakeholders.
• Establish and update budgets for development projects.
• Monitor market trends and maintain relationships with GC partners.
• Create in-house budgets and liaise with GC partners on budgets.
• Provide cost-related issue resolution on projects in flight.
• Oversee risk management, process optimization, and schedule governance.
