Job summary

Serco is seeking a Submarine Development Professional to participate in the Keel to Career program supporting the COLUMBIA class program office. You will rotate through submarine engineering topics, gaining exposure to design, testing, QA, and vendor interactions while contributing to risk management and decision support.

The role requires ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Interest in shipbuilding and submarine engineering.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a job rotational program to learn submarine engineering across multiple domains.
• Engage with structural systems, materials, electrical and electronic systems, propulsion machinery, acoustics, and support systems.
• Familiarize with submarine shipbuilding industry and vendor activities.
• Understand submarine construction, QA programs, and Navy risk management processes.
• Facilitate timely design and acquisition decisions.
• Interface with a broad range of experts and stakeholders.
