Job summary

Serco Inc., part of the Team Submarine, seeks a Submarine Development Professional to join the COLUMBIA Program Office. You will rotate through different submarine engineering domains, gaining exposure to structural systems, materials, electrical and propulsion areas, and QA programs while interfacing with a broad range of experts.

You will build multidisciplinary experience, work with vendors and programmatic tools, and benefit from mentorship to advance your resume and interview techniques in

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to use MS Office.
• Interest in shipbuilding.
• One year in an accredited university’s engineering, technology, computer science or science.
• Willingness to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a job rotational program to learn various aspects of submarine engineering, design, research and development.
• Engage with structural systems, materials, electrical and electronic systems, propulsion machinery, sonar acoustics, and submarine support systems.
• Gain familiarity with submarine shipbuilding industry and vendors, shipbuilding activities, and programmatic tools.
• Assist with submarine construction and design knowledge, QA programs, Navy risk management programs.
• Facilitate timely design and acquisition decisions and interface with experts and stakeholders.
