Job summary

Serco is seeking a skilled System Engineering professional to support Navy submarine programs in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on integrating Ship Control Systems (SCS) and HMCCS for the COLUMBIA and DREADNOUGHT classes, ensuring FBW requirements and program milestones are met.

The candidate will engage NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD, and Naval Warfare Centers, with opportunities to lead SIT meetings and drive risk mitigation and design reviews in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in system integration within defense programs.
• Ability to coordinate with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD.
• Willingness to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Report to the SCS SIT Lead and the Forward Project Officer.
• Support the SCS SIT Lead and Deputy SIT Lead in system design and integration of SCS/HMCCS per Ship Building Specifications.
• Lead and participate in System Engineering for COLUMBIA Class SCS Whole Boat and COLUMBIA/DREADNOUGHT HMCCS.
• Facilitate SIT meetings and timely decisions with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD, and Naval Warfare Centers.
• Manage integration, testing, and delivery milestones for COLUMBIA and DREADNOUGHT Class ship control systems.
• Identify and mitigate project risks within cognizance.
• Collaborate with other SITs to ensure program progress.
