Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Program Manager with shipboard and submarine experience to lead technical execution and P&L for key programs.

You will guide program reviews, shape strategy, and report progress across cost, schedule, and technical milestones as the primary customer interface. Qualifications

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of submarine configuration and operation.
  • Strong understanding of estimating all aspects of work associated with library maintenance.
  • Submarine qualified.
  • Nuclear power qualified.
  • Experience interacting with the NNS Planning Yard and NAVSEA for shipboard libraries.
  • Understanding of ISO and its relationship to process development and improvement.
  • Confidential Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Manage all aspects of manual change development and incorporation for submarine libraries.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs.
  • Interacting with the NNS Planning Yard and NAVSEA for shipboard libraries.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
