Qualifications

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 6 years with Master’s; or 12 years with HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidate must have extensive years of supervisory experience.
  • Candidate must have extensive years of project management experience.
  • Candidate must have active‑duty US Navy submarine operational and/or shipyard experience including Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant qualifications.
  • Candidate must have strong technical knowledge of propulsion and non‑propulsion submarine systems operation and intersystem interaction.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an active secret security clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as a liaison between program management and planning, project team, line management, test organizations, and the customer.
  • Review status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions that meet productivity, quality, and client‑satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for developing mechanisms to monitor project progress and intervene and solve problems with project managers, line managers, and customers.
