Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled diesel engine expert to support submarine diesel engine renewals and modernization efforts for U.S. Navy submarines. The SME will advise on engine systems and emissions compliance, interfacing with PMS 450 and related offices.

This is a full-time position based in the Washington Navy Yard area. The role requires deep diesel mechanics knowledge, program management experience, and ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet contract

Qualifications

• Eight years of program management experience.
• Eight years hands-on experience with diesel engines, preferably marine or military propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Technical expert for diesel engine technology, design, performance, and operations.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders; coordinate responses to engineering items.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on diesel modernization and performance evaluations.
• Develop diagnostic procedures and training materials for maintenance personnel.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation for emissions/performance.
