Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Submarine Electrical Systems Specialist at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. The role supports TSUB leadership, planning and reporting program actions for in-service submarine systems.

Requires active DoD Secret clearance and 10+ years in Navy modernization. Strong technical writing, coordination with multiple offices, and Power BI/MS Office proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; 10+ years experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of experience with U.S. Navy modernization and submarine systems.
• Ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of configuration management and ILS processes/tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute Technical Authority for in-service submarine classes.
• Develop/review operational/technical documentation (PMP, PMS, PMM, SES, DFS, LARs).
• Provide CBM/RCM engineering oversight and resolve technical problems.
• Influence NAVSEA codes, program offices, and suppliers for ship systems maintenance.
• Ensure systems engineering processes are applied during life cycle sustainment.
• Plan/manage multiple development programs with continuous monitoring and analysis.
• Stay updated on engineering advances affecting product development.
• Assist leaders with technical issues and special assignments.
• Prepare reports, minutes, and briefings for program actions.
