Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Diesel Engine SME to support submarine diesel systems and modernization efforts for U.S. Navy submarines. You will advise on engine design, performance, emissions, and control systems, interfacing with PMS450 and PMS396 programs.

The role requires deep diesel knowledge, strong documentation skills, and the ability to produce clear technical reports for engineers, managers, and stakeholders. A SECRET DoD clearance is required and telework may be available up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree with 2 extra years experience or HS diploma with 4 extra years experience may substitute.
• 8 years of program management experience.
• 8 years of hands-on diesel engines experience, preferably marine/submarine.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary resource for diesel engine technology and performance.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical responses to engineering and operational items.
• Collaborate on diesel modernization studies and evaluations.
• Develop diagnostics and testing procedures for maintenance teams.
