Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Subconsultant Lead Engineer to act as the Project Technical Lead on subconsultant-based projects, driving scoping, estimates, schedules and detailed substation designs.

You will coordinate with subconsultants to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to client standards. The role requires leadership, deep power engineering expertise, and the ability to oversee complex multi-discipline projects from proposal through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• ABET accredited program or equivalent required.
• PE License strongly preferred; ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead and apply standard engineering techniques on moderately complex projects.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned work.
• Perform calculations and design work for utility substations.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and subconsultant partners.
• Review design drawings including General Arrangements, Elevations, Cable/Conduit Plans, Grounding Plans, and schematics.
