Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Substation Electrical Engineer to support Renewables, Utility and Power projects. The Lead Electrical Engineer acts as a technical leader, applying standard engineering techniques and coordinating detailed phases of assigned work across multidisciplinary teams.

You will perform design reviews, calculations and provide technical guidance to engineers, with on-site commissioning and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited program or equivalent is required.
• PE registration is required.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary substation projects from estimating to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Makes design recommendations for utility substations and relay automation equipment.
• Performs calculations and provides technical guidance to other engineers.
• Reviews and produces design drawings including one-line diagrams and control panel elevations.
