Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead substation design for Renewables/Utility/Power projects. The role focuses on protection and control design, preparing drawings, and performing AC/DC studies, with guidance to peers and a strong emphasis on innovation.

Requirements include a PE license, a 10+ year engineering background, and ABET-accredited electrical engineering education. Travel up to 15% and US work authorization are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; ABET accredited
• PE License required
• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Proficient with substation protection and control design
• Capable of reviewing/producing design drawings: one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel elevations
• Ability to perform AC & DC substation studies
• Knowledge of NEC; US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical leader on substation design projects
• Make design recommendations and modifications for substations and relay equipment
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers
• Coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work
• Travel up to 15% as needed
