Studs, a category-defining ear piercing and earring brand, seeks a Studio Manager in Newport Beach, CA to oversee studio operations and lead a high-performing team that delivers a best-in-class customer experience.

This hands-on leadership role requires coaching, scheduling, compliance, and revenue growth across retail and piercing operations. You will be on-site five days weekly, with evenings and weekends as required, driving performance and culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in a customer-facing environment; experience with jewelry, piercing, or retail services a plus
• Proven success leading a team of 7+ employees, including specialized skill roles
• Must work on-site five days per week (40 hours) and have open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Weekend availability is required
• Schedules may vary; full-time commitment to Studs as primary employment
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and lift/move at least 20 lbs
• Ability to handle chemicals safely and follow health and safety protocols
• Strong operational and financial acumen with a track record of achieving business goals
• Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and creative problem-solving
• Highly organized and adaptable to change using available tools

Responsibilities

• Owns the Studio’s overall performance, driving revenue growth and achieving sales plans
• Reviews and analyzes business reporting to identify opportunities and adjust strategies
• Delegates and oversees divisions of responsibility within the management team; follows up to ensure execution
• Owns scheduling within labor allocations and ensures payroll accuracy through audits
• Maintains high operational standards, including piercing procedures, health and safety, and inventory control
• Partners with Piercing Leadership to uphold technical standards and best practices
• Welcomes and educates customers on Studs experience, delivering exceptional service
• Leads by example in service recovery and builds feedback loops into daily operations
• Monitors Studio reviews and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Builds and leads a service-driven team including Assistant Studio Manager and Supervisors
• Coaches team members and fosters professional growth and accountability
• Creates belonging, collaboration, and trust across the Studio
• Navigates employee relations in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Leads change management initiatives across priorities
