Job summary

Howard University’s Talent Acquisition team seeks a Manager for Student and Young Alumni Engagement to design and assess programs that build lifelong ties between the University and its students and young alumni. You will serve as the primary Alumni Relations liaison to student organizations, campus partners, and alumni clubs to foster involvement and philanthropy.

Qualifications

• 1-6 years of progressive administrative and office management experience.
• Ability to complete periodic weekend work hours.
• Experience supporting alumni relations and campus engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and evaluate engagement programs for students and young alumni.
• Serve as liaison to major student organizations and affinity groups.
• Advise the Howard University Pre-Alumni Association and connect students with Alumni Clubs.
• Coordinate senior-year and graduation-related programming and events.
• Deliver presentations on alumni engagement and professional development.
• Plan outreach to engage early-career alumni within 10–15 years post-graduation.
• Develop signature programs, volunteer opportunities, and communications for alumni.
• Partner with Career and Professional Development to promote mentoring.
• Plan young alumni events and regional reunions.
• Stay informed on best practices in higher education alumni engagement.
• Support department-wide events and other duties as assigned.
