Job summary

The Howard University seeks a Manager for Student and Young Alumni Engagement to design, implement, and assess programs linking students to a thriving alumni community. You will act as the primary liaison to student organizations and recent graduates to foster involvement and philanthropy.

In this role, you will collaborate across departments, manage outreach for early-career alumni, and help plan events including regional gatherings and homecoming activities. Evening/weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• 1-6 years of progressive administrative and office management experience.
• Ability to complete periodic weekend work hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess engagement programs for students and young alumni.
• Serve as liaison to student organizations, recent graduates, and campus partners.
• Coordinate senior-year and alumni engagement activities, including events and traditions.
• Deliver presentations/workshops on alumni engagement and professional development.
• Develop outreach strategies for early-career alumni within 10–15 years post‑graduation.
• Partner with career development teams to promote mentorship and networking.
• Support department-wide events and initiatives as needed.
