Job summary

Albion Park High School in Illawarra & South Coast is seeking a Student Support Officer to help enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes. This part-time role (0.8 FTE) requires strong collaboration with the wellbeing team and school counselling service to support students and families.

A completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline is required, along with knowledge of Aboriginal education policies and a current Working With Children

Qualifications

• A completed diploma or higher qualification in social work, youth work, welfare or related discipline.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policies
• Valid and current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

Responsibilities

• Enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes in partnership with the wellbeing team and school counselling service.
• Provide individual and targeted wellbeing support and whole school wellbeing programs.
• Collaborate with external agencies and create referral pathways for students and families.
