Studenttour guides serve primarily as a host and guide for all campus visitors to theOffice of Admissions by welcoming them with genuine hospitality, marketing theUniversity, sharing their positive experiences, and ultimately recruitingprospective students to UNM. This will require the successful candidate toprovide a high level of customer service and share knowledge of a wide varietyof university programs and services. This role will stretch beyond the durationof the visit, as tour guides will be expected to assist future students andtheir families in arranging visits to UNM campus and follow-up with visitors toensure their questions are answered and requests met. Tour guides will also beexpected to perform numerous other duties, including but not limited toprocessing incoming mail, completing outgoing mailings, organizing recruitmentmaterials, collecting inventory counts, and other tasks according to the needsof the office. The successful candidate will be required to maintain aprofessional appearance and attitude at all times, adhering to the dress codeand corresponding positively with office associates and visitors alike. The Campus Tour Office is open Monday – Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Students must have availability during these hours. Saturday availability is also required. Tour Guides will be scheduled to work some Saturdays throughout the semester.
