Zusammenfassung

Boyd Company in the United States is launching a Student Technician Apprentice program designed to build technical skills through a curriculum of classroom training, online courses, and on-the-job experience. The program rotates after 4 weeks of instruction at the Louisville Training Center to a hosting Boyd location, with 8 weeks of unpaid classroom instruction and 4 weeks of paid internship.

Compensation is up to $24.00 per hour and the program reports to the Training department and Shop

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to communicate with team members and customers.
• Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs.

Aufgaben

• Learn to read and interpret technical instruction, service and safety manuals, company policies and procedures.
• Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and electric/electronic schematics and wiring diagrams and demonstrate proficiency in the use of test equipment.
• Responsible for high-quality academic standings and maintaining a high-quality of morals.
• Review and send reports in a timely manner, ensuring maximum value for work performed.
• Respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous, timely and responsive manner.
• Keep manager continually informed to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary.
• Performs various mechanical functions, under supervision, to make repairs or rebuild components using appropriate tooling.
• Operates material handling equipment as required.
• Reads and comprehends technical data/service manuals and writes legibly.
• Learn to use all test equipment and procedures to correctly and safely make repairs.
• Keep work area clean and orderly while following all work safety rules and procedures.
