Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Lab Supervisor to provide operational support for the Open Student Computer Labs within Technology Support Services in the IT Department. You will hire and supervise 50+ student employees and coordinate scheduling across labs.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, plus proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• 2 years of related experience that includes supervisory experience.
• Experience with Google & Microsoft Office Suites, various social media platforms, and other basic computer software and hardware knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to the Open Student Computer Labs under Technology Support Services in the IT Department.
• Administer the hiring process of all student employees for the Computer Labs and Student Technology Assistants (STAs).
• Supervise and train 50+ student employees within the Open Student Computer Labs.
• Maintain digital and verbal communication with student employees during operating hours from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
• Support scheduling of classrooms for faculty and staff and assist in organizing events, professional development, and job training.
• Provide administrative and budgetary support and forecasts for Computer Lab operations and Technology Support Services.
