Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking a Laboratory & Facilities Operations Assistant to support daily operation of instructional labs, classrooms, and learning spaces. This hands-on role combines laboratory and classroom setup, inventory management, facilities support, minor maintenance, and project assistance.

You will ensure spaces are clean, stocked, secure, and ready for students and faculty; handle equipment, furniture, and supplies; assist with events; and perform end-of-day readiness tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in facilities, logistics, inventory, or related hands-on operations.
• Ability to perform physical and administrative responsibilities throughout the day.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and general computer applications.
• Ability to create and maintain basic spreadsheets and inventory records.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules, including Saturdays.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage laboratories and instructional spaces for classes, events, and activities.
• Ensure spaces are clean, stocked, functional, and ready for use by students and faculty.
• Organize and distribute instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and learning resources.
• Assist with setup and teardown of classrooms and laboratories, including basic technology setup.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance or equipment issues.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and manage supplies and equipment.
• Move, transport, and arrange furniture and campus property; support campus events and projects.
• Provide operational support for simulation and specialized laboratories as needed.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow issues through to completion.
