Job summary

Ohio University Zanesville Campus is seeking a Student IT Support Specialist to assist students, staff and faculty with hardware and software issues, manage help desk tasks, check out equipment, and support classroom and campus events. This is a part-time, on-site role with flexible morning and evening hours.

The position pays $11.00 per hour and offers an entry point into information technology within the university environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Ohio University or partner institution during current/upcoming semester.
• Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Help Desk Support: answer calls, enter work orders, resolve issues when possible; check out equipment; assist with inventory.
• OULN Classroom Operator Support: ensure equipment is powered, connected and functioning; distribute/collect papers; log issues via Teams.
• Campus Event Support: set up audio/AV equipment; operate during events; return equipment after events.
