Job summary

Great River Health Systems is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to assist in surgical procedures and maintain a sterile field under the supervision of surgeons and nursing staff. You will prepare the operating room, pass instruments, count supplies, and support the surgical team throughout procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of certified surgical technologist program preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures under supervision of physicians and nursing staff.
• Maintain and ensure sterile field during operations.
• Prepare and count supplies, instruments and sponges; pass instruments to surgeons.
• Monitor operating room conditions and assist with room turnover.
• Prepare dressings and assist with postoperative care as directed.
